I don't see the problem.
1) Tools? A handful of people will have lots of iron tools. Everyone else will still be using diamond picks.
2) Pvp? A hanful of people will have all the iron swords and armor they want. Any serious pvp'er will still be wearing diamond armor while their diamond swords turn the iron armor into confette. Everyone else will continue to use the same armor they've been wearing for the last month.
3) Buckets? I have 3 double chests. I'll loan you some.
4) Minecarts? Seriously? Ok, about 2 dozen people make regular use of the subway, and everyone should know enough to keep using the same minecart.
5) Market price? I've been playing on this server for 9 months now. I think I've seen 8 iron sales. An increase in the iron supply (and the corresponding price drop) may actually create a market for iron. At the moment, there is no such market.
Don't like my reasoning? Well too bad. These guys went to a good amount of effort to keep their villages alive. It's about time they actually got something for their trouble. I didn''t hear anyone complaining about the payoff from building Nox Wool, the massive price reduction of eggs from chicken farms, the netherwort mega-farms and their potion sales, or the slime farmers making tens of thousands of creds a day. Hard work and patience = profit. Figure out what the next profit maker will be, then go get a job. Bums.

There is a difference I'm pointing out though: mob farms require player's time while these iron farms are fully self operating. Which results in what people call "infinite". Yep it's an unfair advantage but not an exploit or hack so it will stay.
Actually, only experience grinders require player-interaction. Serious mob grinders are fully automated loot machines that allow a player to fill his inventory with any given set of loot in an hour or so.
In any case, standard spawner/grinders, full-sized mob grinder farms, and new golem grinders all require you to collect the loot before it despawns.

Didn't the released information state that testificates will use player-created building if they are available? Considering that they also breed, it's entirely possible that we will be able to buy and sell testificates, lure them to a prepared village area, and make our own iron farms. Translation - Jonboy be buying some slaves for his mines next week. He just gotta build the plantation first.
