I don't think we should ban any of them. If they haven't done anything under one name, then that name should be clear and safe. I used to a play a different game with 2 accounts, one that was a complete grade-A asshole and one that was nice and kind. Same person, different accounts. Same thing could apply here. If someone is only going to grief under one account there is no reason to ban the accounts that are being good citizens.

There should of course be exceptions though. If someone hacks like crazy and does mass damage, then the threat of future damage outweighs any possible benifit to others sharing the same IP and they should be IP banned.

thats possibly one of the stupidiest things i've read in a while... regardless of whether or not your an a-hole on 1 and an angel on the next, you've already proved to the players, and the server that you have the potential to be a griefer/douche and have actually done it before, which is the reason that that account got banned in the first place...

so basically buying a second account doesn't automatically repent your sins and make you a non-griefer. the less we have to deal with it the better, and if they have done it before then why give them a second change.

I think they should be banned. HOWEVER! Each should be given a chance to explain their actions/reasons for appearing on the ban list. (As Eagleclaw did)

Edit: Oh, and just ban the AvO f***tards. No second chances for them.

First, the reason my name is on there is because I play at school, where other people play at the same IP.

Ah... I guess I wasn't that far off on saying that he had roommates/brothers that just happened to grief... >.> A school, I totally forgot about... If you ip ban a school, that would keep things in line, at least... You kids should be studying anyways.

But of course that is open for discussion, if I'm right... at least Eagle won't be banned if you IP ban the school, instead of his house... I'm assuming though that he needs to set up at home before any final decisions are made?

Also, I don't think that most of them would appeal, considering they actually are in trouble. But indeed there is still some people left that are needing to give their sides of the story.

I have some points/thoughts I want to put out there:

-First, I'm at home now (check my IP), and I know no one else in my family or house plays Minecraft (except possibly my cats)

-I know a ton of people at my school play it. Maybe 3/4 of the computers in the syslab are playing Minecraft at all times

-I've told some of my friends about minerealm, so they would be playing at the same IP. Other people at school have also seen me play, and some of them went on the server too.

-I definitely do not trust everyone at my school in Minecraft. Probably a fair amount of them are griefers or something like that (poor guy, troll, wanted to get banned, perhaps?)

-They might be someone who dislikes me IRL (gasp!), and they might have wanted to try to grief the server and/or pretend they were my alt account

-I'm just curious, what account(s) did you ban? I might know them and be able to yell at them for you guys

-Finally, even though it would mean lessening the time I can play on minerealm, I do think that banning my school wouldn't be that bad of an idea

Intelli, I am on here for duping, but that was my brother, Jdank. He was banned awhile ago, but i promise you, i've been on this server for a long time now, and i have never done anything like that. If you need proof, you can ask B_ran or HydroBud about my brother, because he was the one who was having the massive stand off against them. So please consider my point, and please don't ban me. I have been on this server for a long time, and i don't really want to stop now.

A griefer is a griefer. Ban them all, I shouldn't have to deal with a griefer on a "account to account" basis when they are going to use different aliases to do the same thing. This is a waste of time catching the same person again when there are endless amounts of other griefers to catch and other important things to do. A child rapist in disguise does not somehow become a good person for simply acting like they aren't a rapist for a while. The example is extreme, but there's only two people in Minecraft, griefers and non griefers so there's not a whole lot else to compare it to in game.

Yes, but the person has griefed all accounts link back to that person, and that person them self has wronged our server by griefing so I think that person should not be allowed back. When we give second chances to people from appeals it is hardly ever from griefing cases. A new account gives them that second chance they do not deserve. I see your point though, I just don't agree with it.
