It has come to my attention that there are several players planning to buy several realms after the wipe in biomes that are particularly valuable, while others are planning to just run over to these biomes and strip them of all their precious materials. To prevent heated arguing, and the bans that often ensue, as well as make sure the wipe is at least relatively fair to all players, I think it would be wise to introduce a few rules about buying, selling, and 'claiming' these realms.
Buying: It would be very unfair in my opinion if one or many of the servers wealthier players decided to run around the map, find all the new realms with valuables like the ice spikes and 'disco hills' (I forget what the formal name is) and decided to buy them all up like spawn realms. I do understand that they may want to preserve these realms, but buying a whole biome is excessive, unfair to other players, and overall a bit selfish. Personally I think the size or a 'preserved' area should be no larger than 4 realms, at least until everyone has had adequate time to claim and/or harvest some recourses from these biomes. Furthermore, purchasing a realm only for the purpose of stripping it of valuables, and the selling it back to the server or abandoning it should be banable, because it is unfair to those who don't have tone of credits and also ruins minerealm's landscape (exactly why we needed the wipe in the first place).
Selling: Basically the same idea as buying, but I think wealthier players should not be able to buy realms before the wipe, wipe them, and see if their realms happen to wipe into valuable biomes (For example: Tyranitar, knowing there is an upcoming map wipe spends 100k to buy 10 scattered realms across the map and sets them to be wiped. After the wipe, he visits all 10 realms, strips down all the valuables in the realms and then sells them all to the server or, worse, leaves them there trashed). Also, doing this and selling rare biomes to other people for profit should not be allowed.
'Claiming': Since, after the wipe, all public realms will have been unaltered by other players, many people may attempt to built small huts or even decent buildings to try to 'claim' public land as their own. I think there should he a grace period, just like the purchasing of realms, after the wipe where building something on a realm does not make it yours. This would prevent people unfairly claiming realms but without even buying them, and leave lots of, most likely ugly, nubhuts and quickly thrown together buildings. This would basically be a bit worse than buying the realms since it is making the terrain ugly and could potentially getting people banned.
In conclusion, I think there should be a grace period of somewhere between a week and a month in which the staff add some temporarily rules about the buying, selling, and claiming or realms. I also think players should be limited to buying a certain number of realms in this period, and I have put these choices in the poll. I would love to see what other people have to say on the matter so please give your feedback!

Edit: Tried several times to make my own poll after the poll didn't work the first time, still doesn't seem to have worked. The question I tried to set was "How many realms should players be allowed to buy during this grace period" (if it is introduced)
The options were:
None (0)
1-2 Realms
3-4 Realms
5-6 Realms
7-8 Realms
9-10 Realms
10+ Realms
No Restriction
