We're trying to keep this vanilla, right? This means even if we don't like something, if Notch wanted it to be that way, we still include it. Notch obviously included a way out. So...

I say make the End a single-player instance. By that i mean anyone going to the end are warped to their own End world by themselves and if they want to escape they have to kill the dragon. Sort of like Creative worlds but with angry dragons. The worlds can either be persistent (so people can't farm the ender dragon for XP) or a new instance that is wiped when the player dies or leaves.

Alternately, if Intelli desired a cooperative approach, multiple people could go to the same End in raids and the instance would reset only after the last person there dies.

This would make endstone pretty cheap, but not too cheap, because, you still have a pretty high chance of dying from enderman.

I don't! unless I am fighting the enderdragon, I NEVER look at a single enderman.
