Hey guys.

I've noticed a lot of arguments going on recently regarding PVP. Really they are stupid and pointless, and if they continue, they are only going to make PVP no fun at all, especially if staff have to add in more and more rules to stop all the arguing.

So, I think all the people involved in the ongoing arguments need to loosen up. Be more friendly. Obviously PVP involves killing people and taking their stuff, so it's great at starting arguments.

Some things everyone needs to understand...

The red carpet is a no-PvP zone. Although if you leave the red carpet, and take damage from another player, you lose any protection the red carpet offered. Also make sure not to abuse it. Don't take it extremely seriously, either. If someone attacks you on the red carpet, just turn off PVP and tell them they can't. Don't do anything stupid like attack back or ban request them over a single hit.

Items back...

Yes, if you and another person agree on items back, you must return the items. I think this should not be a rule myself. People tend to not return items, and it's really no fun if there is no risk. When you PVP you should be willing to lose the items on you. If you don't want to lose diamond, use iron. There's no fun in PVP if you just teleport. Here's a tip to any PVPers. If you kill someone, return their sword, if it's a real nice one. Then in return, you'll find people will do the same to you if they kill you.

Anyhow, I do hope people will try and be more friendly and what not while PVPing, you'll find its a lot more fun that way. I suggest anyone who doesn't want to lose diamond armor, PVP in iron and use less expensive swords, I'm sure others will do the same. For example, I'm not going to kill you if you are in iron and I'm in diamond.

Also, regarding the arguments... This is a good place to put them, this here thread, not public chat. If you have an ongoing argument with someone, try to resolve it here, without naming any names. That'd be good.

I hope people will stop arguing now. That would be awesome

I totally agree. PvP is all about risk, and it would be more fun if people would do like you said. Thank you for posting this Agent. Now the pvpers know some rules and courtesy. Thank you and Happy PvPing! 8-)

One thing I must say, that I really hate though, is when people teleport mid-fight right when your on the upper hand. It's so annoying with excuses such as "I ran out of potions" or "I was almost dead". I'd always continue in a long fight, even if I'd ran out of potions or some armour had broke.

Also, if a forum admin reads this, I think it's worthy of being stickied.

This is why people need to PVP with armor/weapons they can afford to lose. Often I'l PVP in iron armor and a sharp I diamond sword, with a few basic potions. It's quite fun because it doesn't really matter if you end up dying.

Thanks for posting this, Agent. As a non-PVPer myself, all the arguments about PVP get annoying really quickly.

Well put but agent just yesterday you threatened Texas hitman with a ban request for logging. My advise to you is to read your own advice. Also just pitting this out there using potions isn't pvp, they are for people that can't pvp.
And agent I know you'll say I used them yesterday and that is only because Texas asked me to because he was lagging. Good day now.

Right, I NEVER said I would ban request him. 10k if you can get a screen of me saying that. All I said was 'tsk tsk tsk, logging Texy?

Anyhow, Chuck, I find you pathetic... You only fight me in a 2v1. You also threw two instant damage and a poison potion at me before I even used any potion at all... Oh right, then you also tp'd /home while I was fighting texas and got even more potions.
