Sometimes it's necessary when you're addicted to such an awesome game & server that invades your personal life. Or, at least, that's why I've sometimes thought about ban requesting myself, because, if I'm perma banned, I'm less likely to play minecraft (which deep inside I know is a waste of my time).

Reasonable, but why not go for something less permanent? Like having a friend change your password and not tell you until a certain date?

For clarification, yes I requested my own ban, which Luelle fulfilled after some poking and prodding and threatening to simply get myself banned by saying "damn" twice, which really didn't sound all that threatening.

For more clarification, NO! I did not ban myself because I needed more time for school/work/relationships/sleep/food/etc... I simply disagreed with a couple of policies put in place by the administration (and no, it wasn't just the NTC banning) and felt it was my time to GTFO and once again, run, not walk, to the nearest exit.
