Could we get some sort of official statement by the admins about what the current plans are for the property tax?

Intelli has stated that he's working on a property tax system to eventually be implemented in Minerealm. In another thread there was a bit of speculation about how the system might work, including discussions of whether it would be a one-time or recurring tax, whether it would constantly apply to everyone or only apply to individuals after they've been away for a while, and whether there would be different tax rates for realms in different areas.

Depending on the details of how it will be run, there are probably lots of realm owners who would appreciate having some heads up regarding how the tax would affect them. In a worst-case scenario, some players may find that the tax is too expensive for them, and it would then be helpful to have the chance to make plans (e.g. about relocating, or selling some realms) before the tax is actually implemented.

I doubt they'd make this one of the immediate changes and do it with no/little warning, as it is such a big change to the way realms work.

I'd hazard a guess that once they have fully planned/coded the tax then there will be a period between when they announce it and when it is introduced, to allow realm owners to evaluate what they wish to do with their realms.
