Strategic torch positioning. I tried to give it identical dimensions to schmidtbochum's masterpiece, so there inside is a 2x2x2 cube of open space.

4: There are certainly better creations out there. Type in "best minecraft creations" on a search engine or on YouTube...
5: I beleive your second sentence was supposed to be a question. End questions with a "?", please.
6: I have yet to actually see a 10 anywhere in my minecrafting time, but let's face it, a 2,000 by 2,000 block pixel art built on single player hardcore mode might be more impressive than the cathedral.

To Dave: Do not be discouraged that you received a "9". It's an excellent accomplishment, like getting only 2 questions wrong on an SAT test.
