I think factions are fine, as long as there isn't too much of the inter-faction b****ing, and as long as Minerealm doesn't start suffering from problems such as players refusing to trade with each other due to their faction.

Minerealm is a community and should stay as one, and as long as factions don't start to change this then I see no problem.

I don't like that there are so many guilds/factions. Everyone seems to think that they have to create their own faction with their own rules, and be their own boss. It's like everyone thinks their guild out of 266 will end up on top. And the worst part is they're creating a guild that already exists!

I would personally like 10 or 20 large guilds/factions like sort-of (insert your fav sport here) teams.

If nobody thought they could end up on top and be the face of success, a lot of people wouldn't bother making factions at all. It's the movement of inspiration that drives us to try new things. And in the end, some will have achieved glory whilst others may still reside in a secluded shack.
I know there are a lot of factions out there though. But who Am I to say people should not be making them (Orion).

But why not just make a town with friends, and that's the end of it. With all these different 'factions' it really separates the community. My opinion.

Guilds = Factions.
I say go back to parties, where it is you and you friends just messing around, and not having others join up and be all about one thing.

Factions in Minerealm = community within community = Communi-ception.
I like factions as well as trains, because it brings you closer to what you like.

Yes, it separates people... and Yes, it brings people together.

A faction is what the faction makes it: Brotherhood, city, empire, team, could be PvP could be trading, building etcetera. However I like Arcane mostly due to the small size with quality and the activities we make.

Therefore I'm + Factions.

I agree with Intelli, a town is a faction, its just fun to be in one and also what other reason to play on multiplayer?

Well.. when terra nova was around, even though i was the big joke who got accepted to be screwed around with, i still didnt really enjoy it.. since that, i havent conformed to another group or guild, for having a varying array of friends from different groups, and to side with one is to shun the rest.

I like playing without a guild. I am in a guild chat now, but it's only me and roo to make it easier to message. x3 better than going with /msg roobean or /message flannyflan or /reply. Much more simple to use /g
