ANYWAY, this is getting off-topic. We should get back on the topic at hand. This forum is for minecraft, not religious beliefs. Back on topic.

I beg to differ. The topic is whether or not religions on the server are good or bad. If you ask me, this has stayed on track better than most threads.

Yeah but just there they were complaining about real-life religions. I was saying to get back on track of minecraft religions.

I think that religion can be a good thing but can get waaay out of hand sometimes
for example on a different server there was a religion that declared war with any other religious group that started on the server, destroying all their resources and usual a migration to safer territory. If this happened on minerealm, then I think that I would jump into lava with all my diamonds in my inventory. Although it can be fun to make them, do sacrifices, build places of worship, make a code of conduct, or whatever, fake religions should never get in the way of social interactions with other players/realms because it can make some people uncomfortable.

Religion is the best thing that can happen to you Lightbulbs. It's automatically an excuse to go to war with just about anyone and it requires little to no justification. Go to war to purge heretics. Go to war to convert or purge non-believers. Got some beef with fellow religious followers? Go to war with them because they are an unsanctioned schism of Cree'thulu.

You know, not that you probably ever really needed any reason to go to war in the first place. But hey, this will maybe spice it up a little.
