I read that blog entry. I guess I agree with everything mentioned. A new block! WOW! *sarcasm* Notch is only updating half the game, what about the adventurers?

And I CANNOT BELIEVE that Notch refused to read that post. With the amount of money that would give him (adventurer players buying the game), he is an idiot to not read that blog. Sure it's long, but it's only 30 mins (estimate) of reading, and the benefits of reading it would be immense. Maybe sometime notch will re-think it and decide to look at the blog. *crosses fingers* but for now I guess we'll have to make do with our pvp arenas and whatnot.

There's already been talk of an adventure mode of sorts. How you can fit something like an adventure in a huge sandbox like Minecraft is anyones guess, but that's part of what makes the game fun. It's completely open. You don't have to follow a set storyline or waste time chatting up NPCs, you can run around and do whatever you want, in a world as unique as your fingerprint. Of course it gets old after awhile, that just means it's up to you to entertain yourself somehow. Of course you'll argue that games are supposed to do all the work, but the thing that draws most people in is this freedom. And remember, the game is not done. Maybe no core changes yet, but we have another seven months at least until we see what can be called the finished Minecraft.

11/11/11, It was on his tumblr. Supposed to match the release date of Skyrim, guess I'll have two parties to throw that day. Clicky.

Did you even read the blog post? He says they should add new mobs and weapons, just read it. And Notch read part of it guess X should have started with the ideas and leave all the criticism for the end. -_-

Ummm, i think notch read the whole post. And he was being sarcastic/joking when he made the twitter post about it killing his creativity. I know you can't actually tell since there is no inflection in text, but it still makes sense that way.
