It seems people forgot the bans section is about posting evidence regarding bans, either for or against a person's ban. Seriously, we might as well rename it the "Bitch about people you don't like" forums.
My suggestion: If someone posts a topic to get someone banned, but doesn't provide evidence, they should get banned in game. I'm sure this will fix the bans section up quite fast.

perhaps not quite so extreme but atleast a 3 day ban from the forums, and if the offense is continued then further action should be taken (e.g. lightbulbs idea)

Thats a too harsh, because otherwise I wouldn't be able to laugh at all the idiots that do this. A forum ban for a few days seems appropriate.

Well, I wouldn't mind enforcing this rule, but it is ultimately Intelli's decision.

Lightbulbs' idea is excellent and i think i suggested it long ago in there, only to have it buried under the waves of lightbulbs hate threads.

However, i think the commentary in the ban forum is quite good as it helps to examine and explore the rules to a fine point.

So, anyone seeking to ban someone else must declare so upfront and should they fail, they themselves are banned. Seems like a great little system.

I think this could be very good for the forums but I think there should be a 3 strikes system so you can break the rules 3 times before being banned from the forums this way it cleans up the ban forum and isn't to harsh

I don't know about three strikes. That's three more "Ban Lightbulbs" threads than I want to read through. I think one warning would be sufficient and after that, you best learn and follow the rules.

I think if someone posts a topic in the ban section without providing evidence, then the topic should simply be deleted, and a message sent to the original poster about how to do it properly.
