I've used the grinder many times, so here's a suggestion:

Incorporate a fall damage trap in case you already haven't. I noticed I had to hit the spiders several times. Why not make it so that they fall, lose all their hearts except for one, and then one hit kills them? Or is this already there and I didn't realize?

Can you do me a favor? Tell me how long it takes to get to level 50 with that, and maybe provide and sped-up video for proof? This will help me decide if I want to buy a monthly pass.

If I were you I'd buy a one time pass. (You can grind unlimited until someone else needs to use it, only lasts a day obviously.)

This way you can test it for at least a an hour (You get it until you hit lvl 50, if nobody else needs it, you can continue grinding)

2: I think I'll stick to my blaze spawner, that can get 50 in about 1.5 hours or so.

The grinder was often crowded before, a lot of people have said good things about it. Already once we start charging, we get people saying 'Well guess I can't grind anymore...'

It's a pretty nice grinder, you've just got to try it for yourself. It's absolutely the best way to see if you like it or not. For only 1k, you can use it for quite a while. (at least until lvl 50, and then the rest of the day unless someone else needs it)

The spiders die in two hits from a normal diamond sword. We don't think it's worth trying to get three different spiders (two different kinds) into a fall trap. It's very difficult and I believe it would slow it down quite a bit. Clicking one extra time is not a huge deal, one hit doesn't really speed up the time because you can already kill them faster then the spawners will spawn them.

Anyhow, a bane 2+ dia sword will get one hits, and if you try both, you won't notice a difference in time.

tl;dr - Bring a normal diamond sword. You pay off the sword and more with the wool you earn. (one stack white wool= 200-300 cr, one sword gets you many stacks)

So yeah - I suggest you guys try it. Not all grinders are the same, but this one is highly efficient.

Yeah, in case any of you want to hear from someone else if it's worth it, let me tell you, if I had 10k to spend, I would, and keep in mind I have used this many times. It takes an hour max to hit 50, and I've gotten power III's, sharp IV knock II, sharp IV flame II, and many more great enchants. I highly suggest buying a pass to this grinder.

I've tried a setup like this @ Former NTC-town. The problem would be that the spiders despawn before they get to you...

To those who worry about if it's worth it, thinking "If it would gain me net rc, why are they doing this?":

They don't lose anything from you gaining rc, but they do gain from you paying them. I've had this issue before, so just keep that in mind. In other words: RC ARE UNLIMITED. They're everywhere. You getting rc is not arcane's problem; in fact, they're probably friends of yours, and want you to gain rc, if you know what i mean--minerealm has a big community feeling.

tl;dr: They don't mind you gaining net rc, because they gain rc also.
