Hey guys, so lately I've noticed this thing that goes something like "I'll give you 10,000 credits if you can kill me". Do you guys mind this? I myself consider it luring, and therefore we shouldn't allow it. These people are trying to lure others to them so they can kill them and increase their pvp rating. These people tend to..... be nearly invincible. Anyways what do you guys think?

I too think it's luring. Like you said, they are usually jacked up on potions galore and have full enchanted diamond armor with maybe a few potions in their inventory.

Same here, and it can get quit annoying at times when they try to lure people in to doing something.

Alright, really disappointed here.

How is this luring? It's a reward if people can actually kill us. We are fully ready to pay anybody who kills us. It makes everything much more interesting and fun.

We often do this in normal diamond armor and even when we are alone. It's not always in jacked up armor and what not.

It's just a bit sad back in the day NTC could lure like crazy with free diamonds, and now today's PvPers are no longer able to even do this?

I still don't see how '10,000 Credits to whoever kills me at spawn!' is luring.

How are we luring? Seriously, it's quite obvious it's PvP. It's incredibly obvious we are going to fight back and defend ourselves. Please tell me how we are trying to lure people in? Are you saying people come in thinking they won't be attacked?...

So the fact that we are better then most PvPers means it's luring? I don't get it. As I said earlier we are trying to have exactly what the average PvPer has (No protection armor, no amazing swords) anyway. How is this luring?

Seeing how luring is defined as "a decoy", how is could this considered luring? If you think about, this credit prize is actually a simpler version of a tournament. Beat the individual(s) that are a part of this credit prize and cash in.

I think it would be fine if there were no unarmored nubs trying to kill full diamond Agent and Bridge. If the people were actually armored with even a small amount of iron, I would be fine with it.

Quick fix: Disable PvP within X blocks. This will discourage rank farming. Or just put portal camping rules back into place.

I don't think it's luring at all. Seriously, anybody who challenges them knows full well they are going into pvp. It's not like the people who do this aren't making people aware there is pvp, or promising something that isn't there. The way I see it, if someone challenges them, it's their own fault if they die. As long as these people will actually pay the 10k if they die, I think it's fine.

I agree. It's quite frustrating for a lot of people to see themselves be beaten in the PVP ranking by someone who camps at spawn with a stone sword and kills unarmed people, when they themselves only fight people in armor.

EDIT: Just wanted to say the reason we do the free 10k is NOT to get noobs without anything to fight us. We actually want people to group together and fight. It's far more entertaining then killing people with nothing.

The reason we don't do diamond as much is because it attracts mostly unarmed noobs and not people in armor, which is our goal.

Also, I can't speak as much for juggle and bridge, but I almost always give back diamond armor/swords if the person asks nicely. I'm not doing this for pvp ranking or items. :/

I think that while it is fully legal, as they inform players that PvP is going to be taken place, making it fighting with reward, and not luring, that it is extremely annoying as it tends to fill chat with messages like 'Stack of diamonds in the nether' over and over again, verging on spam. This effect is multiplied if there is more than one player in the nether who is also advertising something like, '100Kcr for the player that kills me'.

I have no problem with the concept of throwing down the gauntlet, and offering a reward, however it is the constant attempts to advertise this by players that I find annoying. This happened for around an hour today with two players, who will remain nameless, and made it almost impossible to read anything worthy of credit in chat at that time, as people either gave up on trying to read it and /chat'd, or just ignored it, leading to chat becoming full of the advertising, and 'What armor are you wearing' posts for the ~hour time period.

The ordinary player after an easy 50k is easily lured into a death trap. There is simply no way of killing these pro PvPers without armour of an equivalent or better standard and an unbelievable sword.

It's luring, plain and clear. No difference to saying free diamonds in the nether.

Make it illegal.
