Hey guys these are some pretty cool suggestions! We have decided we are looking for more of courtyard design, instead of a building, it could be more of a spawn area. With Trade and info rooms underground. Keep the suggestions coming!

Ok, and the 27x27 limit still applies? And the courtyard should still have a roof to avoid rain no?

I have a design in mind. Just wondering if I should post pictures or include a downloadable map. I have no problem doing both. I just think you could get a better feel for it if you were able to go inside it.

I would really suggest moving the trade room somewhere far away from the spawn city if possible. Perhaps even give it its own dimension like the nether or end or move it outside the normal map boundaries. I know many players, myself included, experience severe performance drops when at the spawn city, many times great enough to crash clients.

I would really suggest moving the trade room somewhere far away from the spawn city if possible. Perhaps even give it its own dimension like the nether or end or move it outside the normal map boundaries. I agree with this. Just put the trade in a bedrock cube right underneath the bedrock layer.

I'm going to necro this thread as I have an idea finally.

A giant tree for the spawn building. Granted there isn't enough room for roots but once it's tall enough limbs could sprawl in the different directions. Spiral stairs coming down from a spawn platform and spiral stairs going up to a viewing area. Maybe even allow people to be able to climb out onto the limbs for shenanigans. I only suggest something now because the actual spawn itself is kind've plain and this would fit well with the general theme of the spawn.

We could call it the "Tree of realms"(tm). :lol:
