So first off I double click the Minecraft.exe file, click login on the Username and PW screen, then it goes to a black screen and I get "Java(TM) Platform SE binary has stopped working". Rude! I have googled this and have no such luck with a fix. It works with the browser but not the client.

Here are the things I have tried...
-Uninstalled all java through control panel>programs>unistall.
-Reinstalled 64bit java (running Windows 7 64-bit)
No Fix
-Deleted .minecraft folder
-Reinstalled Minecraft
No Fix
-Updated Graphics Driver
-Updated anti-virus (already on auto update but why not)
-Run anti-virus (already auto scans at night but why not)
NO FIX

If anyone has any other ideas of what to try I would greatly appreciate the input and if its really technical please lay it out in "layman's terms" as I am not too good with those sorts of things.

Intel Core i5 3.3ghz
16gb Ram
64-bit OS
Geforce GTX 580 graphics card

You might need both a 64 bit and 32 bit version of Java installed. Is your browser 32 or 64 bit?

I have a similar problem to this.. Only exception is it's My ATI card that keeps breaking, after it goes down and resets, I get the java has stopped responding error.

Yes I have done that too since I am using a 32-bit browser

I had a problem with the last driver update for my graphics card, rolling back fixed it, but if yours was broken before updating, this is probably no help.
