I was banned because you don't like me, not because of this rule or that rule. Players get to get off scott free, as you just said. You dislike me personally, and that's why I'm banned.

I've been trying to minimize my involvement in this but it's starting to get dumb.
You spend pretty much most of your time stacking up all the smaller offenses you can, and openly daring people to get you banned, then insisting you didn't do it and acting all surprised that the staff actually can touch you.
If there's a conspiracy to get you banned, you're the one leading it.

Players didn't like lightbulbs or kress. Both got banned for that reason.

People don't like people who don't show respect, and not showing respect is against the rules.

If i were you, i would stop digging your own grave, and just jump in it as is.

I just mean, why even bother having "official rules" at all? Why not have one, big official rule:

If the mods like you, you won't be banned. If they don't like you, you will be banned

There's all these "official rules", that may or may not get enforced, depending on what mod or minimod is there, and whether or not they like you.

Don't get me wrong. Intelli owns this server, he can appoint whoever he wants to enforce whatever rules he wants.

But let's not pretend like it's fair. Let's not pretend like there's any kind of "justice" or "equality" or anything like that. No one ever said that there was, true. But we have these forums, these ban appeals, these rules. It gives the impression that this community has certain standards, certain values, and aspires to be more than just a bunch of nerds placing virtual blocks.

The URL for the forum says that this is a "community". What does it say about a community that bans people for being unpopular? I hate to make such cheap comparisons, but I remember another community that "banned" a certain kind of unpopular group. In concentration camps.

I'm gunna go out on a limb here, and guess that most of the players here are huge dorks in highschool. The kind of dorks that can't get dates, don't have someone to go to the prom with, do their homework on time but who get shoved in the hallway and get made fun of by the in-crowd. This server is just another incarnation of the highschool cafeteria. There's a table where all the cool kids sit with their buddies the admins. Trolls like me get get wedgies and swirlies and BANNED because we're not popular.

In that sense, I get it. You're unpopular at school. You have few friends. And those friends are huge dorks. So you figure, "Hey, look at this minecraft server! I have friends here, and no one picks on me, awesome!!" The thing is, by trying to get me banned, you're being as much of a dick as that bully that picks on you at lunch.

So don't answer this post in this thread. Just think about it, for yourself. Think about why you want to ban me. Think about your reasons for wanting to do it. Think about your motivations, as unconscious as they may be. Think about the fact that you may be doing the exact same things to someone else that some bully kid, some jerk teacher, some ***hole principal, some tyrannical parent did to you. Think about what it would be like if heaven forbid you were ever caught in the same situation.

You were banned for a valid rule infraction, like it or not. You broke the rules and you were unlucky enough to get screwed this time.

People don't make up instances of you breaking the rules and post contrived requests in a sorry attempt to get you banned. Usually, when I see a ban request for you or an appeal on your behalf, the reason is completely valid.

You break/bend the rules a lot, as do a lot of us. However, you also have a widespread reputation as a troll/jerk/generally unpleasant person to deal with, and therefore people scrutinize all of your actions and are much less willing to tolerate minor infractions from you.

You are correct. There IS a witch hunt against you, and I am certain there are several players who have every intention of getting you perma-banned using whatever reasoning they can. There is much evidence for this, and anybody who denies it either hasn't seen it, or is living under a rock.

This is your own fault, though. You earned this reputation yourself through your actions; it was not thrust upon you unjustly.

Is it a dick move to post a ban request for every little thing you do wrong? Yeah, probably.
Do I agree with the methodology? Not really.
Do I blame the posters? Again, not really.

You've given a lot of people a lot of crap. I'm sure we can all drag up names and instances if we try, but I'm not here to drag anyone through the mud. I think you should be unbanned, but you NEED
to straighten out, or you're going to end up either:

A: Perma-banned
or
B: Hated by the entire community (which you're fast approaching)

Also, you can't be compared to Kress. Lightbulbs, maybe, but not Kress.

TL;DR: Straighten up, or don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Pacman, I appreciate your honesty. You are the first person so far to be truly honest.

I can accept that I'm not liked. I can accept that I'm hated. I can accept that I am the boogeyman/satan/dr evil whatever.

What I cannot accept is the denial of basic logic and human equality.

Yeah I've heard it all before. "The is X's server, there's no justice or equality or basic human decency because this server belongs to X and he can make whatever rules he wants. There's no constitution or bill of rights or charter of freedoms here." Ok sure. But is that what you really believe? Is that what you stand for? Do you not think that human beings have basic rights, no matter where they are or what situation or context it is? I'm talking about universal human rights like equality, being innocent until proven guilty, the protection against arbitrary tyrannical rule?

Would it not be great that we create a community out of our shared common values, instead of just what the cool kids think?

Again, feel free to hate me personally. I'm cool with that. Feel free to despise me, loathe me, detest me. But consider the things that I am saying, independant of how you feel about me.
