Let me take this opportunity to recap what I've clearly shown in this thread.

(1) Mods/minimods show bias

Mods and minimods are far more likely to notice, report, ban request and ultimately ban players who they dislike personally. They are far less likely to treat people they like the same way.

You're getting your cause and effect mixed up here. The reason certain players are so extremely unpopular is that they are seen as troublemakers--not the other way around.

2) Ban requests can be and have been abused

There are clear cases where ban requests are used to further someone's personal agenda and have little or nothing to do with "enforcing server rules". Ban requests are used by players who hold grudges to get rid of people they don't like, regardless of what infractions may or may not have occurred. Players with multiple ban requests against them are assumed to be guilty until proven innocent.

You have never shown any examples demonstrating that this is the case. If you're referring to your own banning, Luelle already explained that it was based on objective evidence (screenshots of your own words).

(3) Many rule infractions happen on a daily basis, but if the person who breaks the rules is popular, that's ok

There is a certain core group of players, some who have been here a long time. They have much more leeway when it comes to minor infractions than do unpopular players, new players or players who don't understand the poorly written/unwritten rules. So if everyone knows and likes you, you can probably get away with breaking a few rules every day and you won't get banned. Everyone else risks the full brunt of the banhammer for every conceivable minute mistake.

This is simply not true. Some of the most extraordinarily unpopular players in MineRealm's history shrugged off many unfounded ban requests against them. I'm talking about Lightbulbs and Kress91... look them up via the forum's search tools. Eventually, they were both banned, but only when actual rulebreaking occurred. For quite a while, they were very aggravating and trollish to many members of the community, but those behaviors did not get them banned.

Also, when you're banned for breaking the rules, refusing to accept blame for your actions, and instead blaming the "poorly written" rules is simply an attempt to avoid being held responsible. Even worse, claiming the rules are "unwritten" is objectively false, since they are posted on signs at spawn; if you neglect to read them, that's your fault.

(4) It's 100% ok to harass, insult, swear at, disrespect and mock unpopular players

This can be done even while a mod/admin is right there watching. Unpopular players apparently don't deserve the same respect afforded to everyone else.

Certain players are not disrespected for being unpopular, but rather for being unrespectable.

Also, generally speaking, unfounded ban requests get laughed into oblivion, rather than accepted. And what forums are YOU looking at, that you see so many ban requests per day? I see MAYBE 4 each week, and they're usually for trolls dancing around the auto-ban for language when a mod isn't around to put them out of everyone else's misery.

You do realize that players on here will really only go after habitual line steppers don't you? As people have stated previously it is good to have some non-mod players try to keep the peace, as long as they don't get carried away. And as far as I can tell, you have only brought this up due to the consequences that you now face. You seem to being saying that everyone is out to get everyone else, as if any slight slip up is a death sentence unless your in the veteran's club. This is so far from the truth, and sounds like some kind of warped minecraft McCarthyism that you have conjured in your head. You have been here long enough to realize that the rules, while being completely fair and reasonable, are appropriately tight for an all ages server. One would think that someone such as yourself would know to not keep pushing the envelope, but no, you seem to ENJOY making a warranted target of yourself.

Now as far as my opinion of you goes, I have never talked to you in game and I likely never will. However I have seen you a handful of times in chat being obnoxious and antagonizing against whatever silly "factions" that oppose you, and that is the type of disrespectful behavior that minerealm discourages. In the few threads where your behavior has been the topic you aggressively put down anyone who isn't a mod and belligerently carry out your childish arguments, and thats no way to make friends in any online community. One of, if not the most important rule of minerealm is "Please respect admins, mods, and all other players". While you show a begrudging respect to mods, you do not show any to the rest of us. Don't you think that would make people hostile to you? Don't you think that would make a respectful member of the community who has no real interactions with you but sees how obviously wrong you are point these faults out?

The facts, or premises, upon which we will build a logically sound argument:

(1) I was banned for demonstrating that helpbot is flawed, and will not be activated if key words are placed in between " * "s. For the sake of this argument, I will call this a "minor offense", as opposed to major offenses like griefing, hacking, xraying, flying, forced pvp etc.

(2) I have provided screenshot of other players committing other minor offenses (swearing, ban filter evasion, sexual harassment) happening at or about the same time I was banned.

(3) A mod, Luelle, and a minimod, mitchie, were both present at or about the same time that at least SOME of the above infractions occurred. It is possible that they missed ALL of the infractions that other players committed, and only saw mine. Possible but very unlikely.

(4) My infraction was the only one to receive a ban request.

From these premises we see the following:

I was banned for a minor infraction, while other players were not. The other players' infractions went completely unnoticed. They were not banned, they had no ban requests submitted for their actions, and they were not spoken to about their infractions.

When a rule is enforced for one player, but not another player, that is an example of bias, plain and simple.

Like I said before, I was afk last night and I came back to arguing. I didn't see any "infraction" happen at all. I was told to read chat history but my history didn't go back far enough to see what caused the conflict. I then listened to you explain your side of the story and asked you question about why you did what you did.

To be quite honest, there were others talking about what you did and what should be done, but I was only looking for your name to see what you wrote and to see what was your side of things. So yes, I was there, but I honestly I was mostly looking at what you were typing. I was trying to give you a fair chance to speak your mind. If you want to think that everyone is against you, that's your issue, but please do not insinuate that I play favorites or that I don't enforce the rules equally. If I see it rules broken, I call people out on it.

Okay, i wouldn't normally justify something like that with an answer, however this requires some background to it.
Mistaman360 was banned for briefing and building a swastika on his friends realm. he claimed that a staff member told him it would be alright, then claimed that he would be told off but not banned for it because it looked bad. I simply told him that anyone found to be making/have made a swastika is banned with no exception, and that with his appeal in its current state, it would likely not be looked at by staff until its changed.
i am not bullying this player in any way.
