Well guys, there are huge changes coming to the classic server. =]

However, I want to know what your stance is on starting with a fresh map on the classic server.
Details regarding the changes will be posted in a separate thread shortly. Right now, I'm interested in knowing how attached you guys are to the current classic map.

I'm halfway through fixing classic spawn, but if it would make the server better go for it.

I know i speak for my self didag, dudog, gb6801, alllllllllll, joey_smith and others when i say. No server wipe please. We have all been working really hard on a project that i nearing completion!

Well, i finished my 2000 obsidian tower on classic last week, this week i finished walling off the whole south east corner of the map(the part with the snow XD) and i have almost finished my little village behind the tower, so ya, a map reset sounds good right about now. Get a fresh slate and build something else cool.

As always, I am convinced that intelli knows best.

I say go for it now because if you dont you might want to do it later when people become more attached to it.

I'd like to know what sort of mod would actually need a new map to be properly utilized, and couldn't just be implemented via an expansion. Really, though, I see no reason to discard the effort that's already been put into Classic.

Oh Intelli, do you think you could add a command to survival, that might help people get to far places until the highway is introduced, a teleport command. Someone could type like /tp person and then the person gets a notice and says like /tp yes or /tp no.

Not to survival but it could work on classic. The yes and no part might be hard to code (He already has the /tp part) but other then that I see this as a nice little mod to use. This server needs more coders
