My opinion is that it's a way to physically show what ideas and thoughts define you, with images being the method of communicating those concepts. It's a way to symbollically show that you're committed to those thoughts and ideas and principles, and that they'll stay with you your whole life. A way to show your certainty, your dedication, or in some cases, eternal relationship with someone, be it a family member, lover, even a pet. People tattoo things near their hearts to add to the meaning of a tattoo, or some get them just to show that they are creative people. It's just making yourself a canvas. I've always found it more absurd that people actually find issue with this. Tattoos can be some of the most heartfelt and personal things in the world.

So basically just a radial gradient overlay on the star/glare like in the picture? I can try to get that done before I head off to class in 15 minutes.

Edit: alright, gotta get going to class, but I nearly doubled the size for you, just in case (since you can scale it down then if you need to) and touched up the star a bit. If it still needs some work, lemme know. This little fix-up was done in a bit of a hurry so it's understandable if you don't find it a huge improvement.

I know this question might be for MrOrwin, but I had my chest tattoo'd.
Many ppl think that there need to be a meaning for a tattoo, but I just think they look cool.
So I chose a pretty neutral pic(no tribal), that can be expanded someday, if I want to.
So I kinda took the tattoo just for the heck of it. And I'm going to take another, some day.

Looks good. Gotta post some pictures once the scarring goes away and it heals up. It'll 10 times better, and less... gory haha.
