For those who used this, it looks to me like they've changed how it works. It now looks to be http://minotar.net/avatar/USERNAME/## without the appended .png extension. It also appears as though the avatar doesn't display with face overlays like beards, boom mikes, and masks.

Edit: looks like they fixed it.
