Why are there any votes against this!?!? How many times have we seen one person getting annoyed with another and wants to block JUST them!? I for one would absolutely love this command, so often I find myself getting frustrated with people and I want so badly to block JUST them. I see 0 reason NOT to want this command.

some people aren't responsible enough to use this. two people will get into an argument and one will ignore the other. chances are they'll keep ignoring this person because nothing will change if you can't talk with them. it'll just be a step back from community.

Really? How many times have you ever seen an argument in Minerealm get resolved maturely and without name calling/insulting? How many times do the two just start yelling at each other or one using /chat or just plain logging off?

yeah, it happens a lot. i used to be a fail troll and was disliked by a majority of the community. imagine if they /ignore'd me. why would they ever un-ignore me? you can dislike each other, but ignoring each other is worse. anyway, it's unlikely that harassment will continue since the staff are responsible. besides, you should learn to resolve problems, not ignore them.

Have you ever tried to solve a problem between you and someone who is either A.) Not very smart, B.) A complete Troll, or both? Yeah, it doesn't work out very well. I usually just want to ignore someone till I'm no longer frustrated or angry with them, then I can solve whatever the problem was.

i'm assuming intelli wants community and social players. /ignore seems like that would lead to the opposite result. if you're already pissed off at somebody else when you /ignore them, what incentive would you have to un-ignore them immediately after you cool down? i guess a time limit on /ignore-ing a player would help, but the whole thing is just eh

How about making them invisible, that way they can't harass or dance around you

This is exactly what I was about to post.

I've seen online games were people can ignore others. All it does is add to the drama. People say they ignore someone while they really don't, people threaten to ignore you, or people get all dramatic about adding certain people to the list...

Only reason this would be good is to ignore people who in general are annoying, -or- spammers.

But I can see this creating a lot of drama as BeBopBoy said.
