Well, I was thinking of getting a graphics tablet. I am fairly proficient with a paper and pencil, but I am getting sick of scanning my drawings onto the computer to edit them there. I just want to draw on the computer.

There is a slight problem though.

I have no clue on what tablet to get. I have a budget of $200 and I don't know what would be the best tablet for that amount of money. My friend got a Wacom Bamboo Create and says it is awesome, but I want to get a second opinion. Any help?

Get the Wacom tablet, trust me.

Do not get an iPad, ever, for any reason, under any circumstance. Don't do it. Ever.

Definitely go for the create. Wacom makes excellent tablets and their Bamboo product line is great. It also does a great job of distinguishing between the stylus and your hand.

I have a CTE-440 and it still works great. The mouse is junk, but you don't buy it for the mouse

Wacom makes the best computer tablets around, but there is always the alternative of a Tablet PC if your willing to fork out the cash.

My school laptop is a Fujitsu life book which can flip around and be drawn on... kinda cool, but very expensive. Your better off going with the Wacom.

Wacom Bamboo ftw. I have a model thats a few years old. Very reliable. I love it!

How to they compare with traditional pencil methods. I'ld love to make the technological leap to a wacom tablet, but I wonder about how they compare with the tactile sensations and feedback I get when putting pencil to paper?
