Well guys, this a question I'd like answered by ALL of you (even intelli!).
What do you REALLY love about minerealm and why do you choose it oppose to other servers?
My answer is the community, I've made tons of friends on this server which (in real life) I would have NEVER made.

The fact that MineRealm should be the MineCraft Server.

But then it would ruin itself by having to many people join and over crowding...

Besides the community, which is why you are playing SMP, I love Minerealm because I believe it is the most faithful transition from SSP to SMP. In SSP, you are the only sentient being in the universe and so by default you own everything. Minerealm preserves that sense of ownership by preventing people from interfering with your creations.

1) The realm system. Nothing I've seen on other servers can even come close; the best thing I've seen is a plugin where certain items (usually coal/redstone ore) can be placed, and generate a private area around them. But I've never seen another system that allows private realms to be bought and sold without requiring a physical item to be placed.

2) The balance between remaining legit and being flexible in non-vanilla plugins. I usually don't stick around long on totally-vanilla servers due to the constant theft and griefing. At the same time, I definitely prefer to play on a legit server--I've left more than one server after realizing that they had a plugin to automatically spawn diamonds for players who upvote them on the minecraft server listings.

3) The moderately large size of the community. Playing on small servers (population capped at 20 or so, usually about 10 on at a time) can occasionally be fun, since there's more wilderness area to explore, but eventually that ends up seeming like single player. Excessively large servers (I'm thinking of one in particular with a population cap of 750, that had 500-some players on when I tried it out) aren't as fun, because chat messages scroll off the screen before it's even possible to read them; also, it's impossible to really get to know any other players in such a huge group.
