I don't really know the full situation, but I sure have read a lot about it and actually met some of the people who do work for Invisible Children in person. I can see both sides of the issue, but I can also see where everyone yelling it out to be a fraud is wrong. My church has worked with Invisible Children multiple times in the past few years and their causes seem to be good causes. If you want to run a company and raise awareness on such a mass level it's going to cost money... you have to spend money in the first place to earn money to put towards the cause.

Also, just realized, if you go back and look at the post a picture of yourself thread... I am wearing an Invisible Children shirt there.

Yup. Watching a video and deciding that you care about the issue won't save all of his victims, but it'll definitely save some of them, right? Right?

All I'm saying is you need to make an effort to care. I hate Techno's logic because it implies that if you don't care now, you won't and you'll simply be fake by trying. Become active for a cause and you will learn to care. If people want to decide that they care because they watched a single video about an event, let them. At least they'll have the idea that caring about people is right in their mind and they'll be better for that. You go ahead and be critical, I'm sure you'll get nothing out of it.

I admit that this is true--arguing on the internet doesn't accomplish anything, wouldn't you agree?

We aren't arguing. I'm posting my opinions. You're posting replies to things I didn't say. That's whats pointless.

Some facts I've seen posted on Facebook:
1) Ugandan Government already knows about Joseph Kony, and when US Special Forces were sent in 2007 to eliminate him, the Ugandan Government stepped in and killed those US Forces.
2) Joseph Kony, although not entirely in the clear, is not completely to blame for the evils that go on in Uganda regarding the rape, murder, and torture of others; he is the head of the rebels, but he doesn't oversee every action the rebel forces commit, and rarely condones them.
3) Invisible Children - the 'charity' trying to 'help' the children in Uganda - uses less than 32% of all donations to actually help the children. Over 68% of the donations are used to pay the wages of charity workers, for travel, and for film-making.
