Why do we need an area of the over world exclusive to PvP? That is why wwe have the nether. I say bring back the wilderness. Every free realm would have PvP on and realm owners would have the option to have it on in their realms.
PS. I just realized this would reduce the mad rush to find disbanded realms to loot them. Everyone would end up fighting and nobody would get the loot.

The nether has its own problems with PVP, such as camping and controversy in the rules.

A pre-defined area with 10,000 blocks free to enter it would be literally un-campable.

On a side not, many people (including myself) didnt like the 2.0 wilderness system. It caused a LOT of hatred between players, and often arguments about the realms. With the current system, players are much more likely to team up and work together, rather than quarrel over meaningless things.

I mean, even a 500x500 area in the middle of the map, or 1000x1000... either way is still better than forced PVP.

So, based on input the changes (if implemented) will be:
/yes after toggling PVP
A short time after PVP is toggled on where it can't be toggled off
When PVP is enabled players will not be able to warp
PVP is toggled off after death
A wilderness area (200 block extension to the map) where:
-PVP is always on
-People earn double credits
-Minor greifing is allowed?

At the very least I would like:

I personally do not wish for public realms to have pvp on.

I agree only with what jdankk says.

Here's why:

Imagine you are a noob, you have set up a house in a mountaiIn. You go mining with a set of the necessary diamond tools, and you are comming back with about 20 diamonds. All of a sudden, Mr.Example jumps down out of nowhere and kills you. Rage quit much?

Or.... You are mining with your new fortune III pick. Mr.Example chases you. He catches you. Rage quit much?

If the above is actually seriously being thought of, then stop thinking off it, and do the extra land off the 10k by 10k map with double credits but pvp always on instead.

It would really tie non pvpers into it, who may complain that pvpers get double credits while non pvpers can't.
