like the title says, i propose a public farm. i know warps are very frowned a pone and i dont like them myself so thats why i think a warp is out of the question. I think this would really help new players. basically what im proposing is that a basic farm is made in a public realm close to spawn. If it were close, say within 1000blocks then a sign could be put up at the spawn point saying that a public farm is at so and so coordinates. then new players could walk there and grow food.

cons:* people plant stuff then someone else comes and takes it.
* the farm is used by regulars to the server, aka not noobs

pros: * many regulars on the server already have a farm so they would have no need to use this one.
* it points new players in the right direction towards public land and at the same time provides a farm.

now a big problem i can see with this is that someone plants seeds and then someone else harvests it all.
some solutions to this are 1) bones arent hard to get so use some bone meal on your wheat for an instant harvest. if you arrive to the farm and there are seeds already planted dont steal them... plant your own. Also if you have a couple logs to spare make a sign and put it at the start of the row your using saying this is being used by so and so.

also there would have to be something in place saying that no ones allowed to buy the public land the farm wold be built on.

ps. since ive been ban ive been trying to think of ways to help the server and this s just an idea i thought of. im trying to help but please post your opinion

I actually considered doing something like this but instead of a farm a free build area for noobs. I would buy a realm really close to spawn, and advertise that new players could be added for free and I'd regularly plant trees and hide ores underground.

During 2.0 and 1.0, there was an enormous wheat farm right next to the spawn building, it was griefed all the time, and generally just considered a griefer catcher rather than an actual farm.

I think its pretty much useless TBH

Might not be a public farm, but as far as I remember, it was in a public realm.

X: 325 Z:925 or something around there. I used to own it. Biggest Wheat farm on Minerealm. Use that.
