So quite a few of us have noticed that a larger than normal amount of hostile mobs are roaming the realms today. Especially creepers seem to spawn in much larger numbers and even hang out in creepy creeper groups...

My questions to the Admin and Mods are simple: What happened and why? And is this the new status quo of things??
I am worried since my sheep farm has sheep despawning at an alarming rate because of the extra mobs wandering around...

I too have noticed it, that and an increase in lag.

Same here. Been building on the surface and the area was littered with -groups- (2-4) of mobs of all kinds. Nice target practice from up high :mrgreen:

No lag actually, if anything, it's less.

I noticed the same thing, while I was working on the Ebius town hall I was assaulted by all sorts of mobs, way more then usual. I didn't notice there being any more creepers than any other mob though.

I haven't been to the surface, but my mob spawner is really cranking them out...

Edit/update:
It seems like the increase in mob limit was only temporary... for a while, I could get as many as 18 zombies in a 3x3 area from a spawner, but now no more than 6 will end up there. Anyone else notice this?

I have noticed the mobs increase also, and heard things in chat about Intelli increasing the mob limit. I really like it. Also, I really don't ever lag on Minerealm and haven't noticed any increase in lag, referring to the first post.

Yes, Intelli had a few restarts and he told us he was testing different mob limits.

Really hoping for the limit to be decreased. Faster exp is good.
