leave the broneys alone is you dont have anything nice to say.
Love and tolerance.
Here's my 2 cents on the subject:
MLP is, traditionally, a show targeting the 5-9 little girls demographic. Before FiM, anyone would have told you that. Now that FiM has changed the game, people (non-bronies) either are still adjusting or refusing to adjust. They see the fans as freaks with no life and that the liking of the show is "gay" (Which IMO is code for "I have a limited vocabulary and the maturity of a 12 year old").
They refuse to open their mind and consider that "Hey, people like some things I don't like. And that's fine". Instead, they'll bash something like this into the ground to feed their own egos and make them feel superior, be it to assure themselves of their own sexual orientation (in the face of assumed "gayness") or, as stated before, to feed their own ego and feel like the big man on campus.
There's nothing wrong with liking things others don't like. I myself can't stand the BF/MWF games, but I'll happily play DOOM 2 and Duke Nukem: Forever. They're not popular right now (And I got Duke for cheap due to the poor reviews), but I'll still happily play them regardless of what haters say. The same goes with MLP: FiM. I'll still enjoy the show and watch it every Saturday, regardless of what my peers think of me. You wanna watch UFC fighting or Spartacus? Ok, that's dandy, I'm gonna be over here watching pastel colored ponies talk about friendship.
TL;DR: Peer pressure is for chumps and haters gonna hate.
