There are no "lag free" screen recorders, the amount of lag it causes is mostly the same for all screen recorders and will depend on your computers specs. Personally I use FRAPS, it works great.

If Fraps is too laggy, then I doubt any other screen recorders will be much better on your computer :/

Fraps records and compresses using a codec that reduces loss of FPS. Hence the name Fraps. Frames Per Second.
Of course it will not be lag free, also the video quality isn't always the greatest but for gaming Fraps is the recorder you want.

Well despite that I know for a fact that Fraps runs horribly on my Craptop, I was just pointing out that if he doesn't have a computer good enough to use Fraps then he most likely won't be able to find any other screen recorder that runs (fps wise) better.

FRAPS requires a very fast HDD or SSD as it's writing a lot of information in an extremely short time span.
