I'm not nearly as active as I used to be, I mostly just stalk the forums.

I was there for that. His insanity and sheer ability to generate lulz/drama will be be missed, even by his victims. As for this duping scheme... fill me in. I'm far to lazy to read the bans section anymore.

There were a number of duping methods that became available at various points. As far as I know, the biggest one was when the server was divided into "channels" (multiple copies of the same map, which sync with each other, which were used to spread people out through multiple servers and reduce lag); placing/dropping/moving items somehow allowed them to make duplicated versions in other channels. Also, there was something with piston-related glitches, when pistons were first introduced; not sure whether that was ever successfully used here, though I remember hearing about a few people that tried.

As for people involved, there were a lot of high-profile players who were caught and banned for it. Kress (predictably) was involved, Ramien was implicated for either actively helping him or for failing to report him to the staff (don't remember which--it was a point of contention for a while), and the staff members Rocky and S2 were also involved.

Ryu, were you around for the great X-Ray ban of 2011? Many cheaters were caught, temp banned, and fined during that.

Got some facts wrong Prod, I was banned for being disrespectful to Intelli(he still has not told me what I said to make him mad) and for talking with Lightbulbs on Skype after he was banned.

While I was implicated for not reporting the duping I was cleared once I explained my position, or at least, that's what I take from LM's post on my most recent ban appeal.

Anyway, I remember you Ryu even if you don't remember me!
