That appears to be the case... However, there is something in here that is certainly worth reading, and in my opinion, makes this necro one I cannot hate... though I can certainly hate doing this with a phone.

This thread has been around for awhile, so I thought that instead of spamming random stuff that I'd actually post what I think friendship is.

Friendship is a connection between people. It is a state of mutual understanding and empowerment that can sprout from many places, enjoying the same activities, appreciating the things the other has done, or sharing a mental rapport. Other times it can begin in odd ways, like coming into contact with a person who you didn't like before in a different light, or in an enviornment where you don't need to pretend to be who you are not. The bond between friends, true friends, is first and foremost a mental one, the knowledge that the other person will make the right choice in a given situation, that they will uphold the truths and ideals that you both value.

True Friendship is a beautiful thing, as supple as silk and as tranquil as the most unmoving fresh water lake within a cavern. It is something to be treasured and protected, and above all else, it is something to embrace witout caring the consequences. A True Friend will never betray you, never lead you astray, and always value you for the things that others always seem to miss. True Friendship is, honestly, the rarest thing in the entire world, and if by the grace of the divines or the will of fate you should stumble across it, never let it die.

Then there is Friendship in general. Like True Friendship, Friendship is a bond between people, but one that arises for different reasons. You may appreciate certain aspects of a person, but you will always approach actions with some degree of forethought and caution. These friendships can burn as bright as the sun, but will most likely fade as the fuel is consumed and the mind behind the flame becomes completely visable. A Friend will not often betray you, or anger you, or cause you to stray from your path, but they may inadvertantly sway your judgements and this is something to be on guard for.

Finally, there are Utility Friendships. These are not based on a mutual bond comprising of affection and g
oodwill between two people, but is instead built upon a foundation of lies or multiple truth values in return for power or service. These types of friends are not truly friends, but parasites, that drain your time and good judgement away the longer you remain with them.

So, what is friendship like, than?

Friendship is like taking an aimless walk in the rain. You are lost in your thoughts but the rain keeps pulling you back to the world, not letting you become lost in worlds of your own and grounding you firmly in this one. It's a strange feeling, but one that feels right and helps you remember your place in the world.
