I hope they aren't too rare. If they're any less common than 1/3 zombies, I'd rather just dice up creepers, or use a mob grinder like almost everyone else.

Maybe just instead of a lumbering, easy to kill black zombie make it a new mob? .

I dunno, idt a zombie is the right mob to be carrying gunpowder. Perhaps like some fast beserker-like mob that just lobs explosives at you? Not sure.

The zombie thing is an ok idea... But I'm pretty sure that when you add a new mob you need to mod the client as well.

What about a giant squid thats attacks you and come come a few blocks onto the land and it can shoot cannons.And it could drop maybe 5-8 gunpowder.Why it would have cannons i dont know.

what about a flaming spritit dragon that flies around and shoots fire balls at you like ghasts. The fireball s dont explode, rather light a large area on fire (by large i mean a circle with about the size of a creeper blast.

You can kill the dragon by dousing its core of lava or attacking its belly with a sword.

The dragon would drop fire blocks so that if you defeat it, you have the honor of wearing chainmail.
