I was doing this in the nether with Keyhen, CHAOSiron13 and Fatbubbysfunny the other day, and I think it would be cool to go 'worldwide' (as in onto the forums, for everyone to see) and organize a few games.
It's simple, we had a fort near the Spawn City Portal, and we played 3-4 rounds. One team attcks, the other defends. Last one standing wins for their team.
Rules:

• Nothing from the Diamond Tier.
• Potions are allowed.
• No breaking blocks.
• Play fair, and give back items when you're done a round.
• Don't interrupt other games, you'll be killed. And it hurts.
• No enchantments.

I might have missed a few, tell me if I did!
For a small fort, 2v2 or 3v3 is the best option. For bigger ones, try 4v4 or even 5v5.

NTC plays by the pvp rules of the nether. Our base is located in the nether, approximately 600 by 600 blocks.

This is for people that want to play by these rules. If you don't wanna play like this, and not have friendly competition, then fine by me.
And of course, NTC happened to interrupt the last game....

I kind of like this idea. Presumably, if a game is interrupted by an outside attacker, the game would be put on hold so both teams can gang up on the attackers? It wouldn't be as fun to try continuing with the game before the attack is stopped.

you see Trinity already has this in effect. almost the same idea except you can destroy blocks. if anyone wants to play just let smith or I know. we mostly play with just us members but seeing as no one can really properly set up anything, we'll take care of it.

I'm in the process of removing them so we can make some nicer, permanent forts. I've been busy with another project so if you or another member could work on it, it would be much appreciated.

HA! Your "territory" is no larger than 25 by 25. Or whatever the current view distance is around the Spawn City spawn portal. Outside of that range you represent less of a threat then pigmen.
