Ever tried providing a service/ running a store/ running a business on Minerealm? I have a suggestion that could make it much easier. I recommend each player can create any number of "businesses/ shared RC balances" in Minerealm. It even wouldn't disturb the tax system!

Anyways, how would it work? If this was implemented...
-players could still send money to other players, with a 10% tax
-or, players could send money to businesses, with NO TAX
--using something like /business pay [name] [amount]

-business "admins" could send money from the business account to any player's account, with a 10% tax
-business "admins" could send money from the business account to any business's account, with a 10% tax

How to create a business?
-some function, like /business create [name]
-this would require you to have a base fee of some number of credits
-a 3 day auction would start, during which anyone else wanting to create a business with this name could bid for it, in much the same way
-after 3 days, the highest paying person would be awarded the business, with the lucrative name. Or you would just buy it for the base price, if nobody else bid
-a weekly "business tax" would charge from your balance. Some amount, probably similar to the base price, to prevent people from sitting with unused business names forever. If there isn't enough to pay the weekly fee, the business name goes public

You have a business, now what?
-you can now tell people to pay your business name instead of you, when trading. Useful for people with difficult names..
-you can add other people to have rights to your business funds, mainly:
--partners (full rights, can withdraw money, can add others)
--admins (full rights, can withdraw money)
--employees (no rights, receive alerts when payments are received)
-partners and friends can work together towards a collective balance
-you can withdraw the money, and do with it as you wish (you never lose more due to taxes)
-you can view various history, like how much money you made in past day, past week, etc
-employees can view when a player has payed the business that employs them [so they can decide when they should give a customer the item they claim to have payed for]
-employees should be able to turn on/off payment alerts. For those with multiple jobs, or when they aren't working and don't want to be disturbed by the notifications of all the money you are making.

Other Ideas
-a function to view current live auctions, to see who is looking to buy which business name
-a function to get information about a business. To do things like check the owner, etc. Balance would be hidden (privacy)
-this would be an easy way to get donations for "public" projects. Just post your business name on a forum post, and people can give money to your cause even when you are offline.

Why Why Why?
It would make it easier to share funds between trusted players, without losing money through taxes by throwing it to eachother. This could allow for many things beyond business, like having a shared funding account for IRL trusted friends, etc. It would make it easier to run a business, you could hire employees, and the money would automatically go to the business fund. You could then pay them at the end of the day/ weekly for their work. This way, businesses would pay the same 10% server tax, without losing 19%, 27% etc to compounded taxes.

This would make it more fun to make shops, etc in the game. It would boost the economy!

Vote
So, please vote about this after you have read it through. You have three choices.
-I support the idea, or something similar [vote option 4]
-I'm neutral [vote option 7]
-I do not support the idea, or something similar [vote option 2]

Yes, I'm still banned. Please don't discuss that here. If you are really inclined, make a new topic. But nothing interesting will happen there. Please discuss only the idea here!

So, what do you think? Comment!

I support the concept of accepting payments while offline, and being able to keep track of them.

Not sure about having a separate credit balance though.

This would be especially helpful for large projects with multiple people managing. Sometimes the head honcho isn't there to give to money to so a third party helper picks up the cash but to get to the intended person it has to get taxed twice.

Ah this is how we purchase thing's via virtual PO's that we designed in excel, Except If you want to purchase something using community money, you need to pay the 10% fee to transfer the funds you want as well as then pay another 10% to pay the person your buying from. We also work on a refill system where the bank takes all RC you collect in day except for 10% to ensure the main char has the most money,

Unfortunately I don't have to do it a lot right now because I'm the only person besides one other person using the community char. So all RC can stay on my char sometimes if the PO is under 8,000RC and then after purchasing I still send 20% to the bank char and then the remaining credit's I make in a day besides 10%.

This would make my life a bit easier with this type of addition because then we could eliminate the third party to our way of doing it now. But if not It's alright also. I support this idea though.

On another server, there is a rather successful "Black Market," feature used, where you rent plots that automatically go up after a week, and while owned you put chests down, with signs next to them reading:

"<Item Name>"
"B / S <Price>"
"<PlayerName>"
"<ItemID>"

And you can put a specific amount of money into each sign, so that it is completely automated and maxes itself out when you've sold all the items you've put in the chest, or when the sign runs out of money, and for each purchase a player makes in your BM Plot, you get a notice saying how many, and how much they spent in your shop.

I like this plug-in, because it allows you to do business without actually being there. You can sell a variety of items, add / remove players you do not wish to let buy from you, and restock / rebank at your own pace, leaving the amount of work / selling you can get done at the same time unlimited.

I really recommend Intelli to look into this plug-in, as many people have discussed things similar to this before, but there were too many personal flaws like "What if someone insulted you, and then went to your shop and you were forced to sell them items against your will because they can just click the sign," well, this feature covers that possibility with the "/bm add / remove <playername>" add on.

That would be quite useful in a lot of ways, if you could have separate balances. I support that.

I think it'd be nice to see more uses for credits as well, I've always thought buying a protected chest would be cool, obviously that wouldn't work out well though.

Anyhow, +1 this thread :)
