What is annoying is since practically every hosting site will like have atleast some pirated material that has been uploaded they are all at risk and as a consequence we'll all be affected by the US governments' little cyber war over copyright.

Eh, I don't see this as being an issue. Blog posts and tweets are freely available to the public, and things written by journalists are actually intended to reach a large audience. So you can definitely wonder about the motives behind watching them, but the watching in and of itself isn't worrisome.

There's another bigger concern that people should be worried about.. The disappearance of Youtube. Once the govornment has their way, Youtube will be gone. I personally use Youtube for all My music needs. I download the video into MP4, then extract the audio into MP3, free music, and virus free.
