There are a lot of reasons to be upset by this actually. The site was more than just a place to share pirated materials, and has been a major hosting site for a decent amount of time. There's more, but this really doesn't feel like the place to go off on a sociopolitical rant......
Not sure how entrenching the govt in another unwinnable war is really gonna help the US out in a time when things are still fiscally tight. Obviously Anonymous was upset enough to disrupt a few websites....if this starts a true cyber war.....this could cost a lot of people. If they can hijack sites and business hardware like they've done in the past, it's only a matter of time before they wipe something big....imagine if they attacked one of the major Credit Cards, or, perhaps, if they found a way to attack the NYSE? It's not unfathomable. Major commerce could come to a serious issue over the flex of judiciary muscle...
Well....much of a rant I guess...
