Game Moderator : The primary job of the game moderator will be to enforce the rules and increase overall happiness of the players. Game moderators will be required to conduct themselves professionally and must be able to administer self control. We aren't going to lie, this is a stressful position. Minimum age is 16, but we may make exceptions if you are mature for your age.

Forum Moderator : The forum moderator will be responsible for keeping the forums free of spam and inappropriate or otherwise malicious posts. The forum moderators are active members of the community, starting topics and showing an interest in MineRealm. Forum moderators are required to be capable of typing in a formal manner (No chatspeak!).

Artists : Artists are responsible for designing our teaser and promotional art. Artists may also be responsible for drawing up comics and other interesting pieces of artwork. This is a position judged by experience and samples. Apply for it via PM.

It’s that time again. We are looking for players to fill in two (2) moderator positions. With the server approaching full restoration, we have realized we have some moderator positions to fill. We are looking for players that have been with Minerealm for a while and are 16 or older.

Moderators duties include enforcing rules and keeping the status quo. Moderators must be able to diffuse arguments before they get out of hand. Moderators should occasionally teleport to players to make sure they are not griefing or disturbing other players. Moderators will see warnings appear when players place certain blocks or when certain items are used (buckets and signs for example). They should check these warnings from time to time as well to make sure players aren’t griefing with water or lava or framing other players with signs. Now of course, we do not expect you to check every single warning, but check in on people that may have multiple warnings appear for them. Moderators should also be active on the forums to help players with questions and to keep updated with announcements for the server. It is important for moderators to be involved in this community.

To apply for a moderator position please use the previous format posted at the beginning of this thread. If you have an existing application, please update it with the edit post option and then bump it. We ask you to bump your application simply because editing a post does not bump threads on the forums.

Just because we have two (2) open positions does not mean we will fill both of them. If we do not find suitable candidates we approve of, the spot will remain open. Do not bother moderators or admins in game about reading your applications. We frequently check the forums we will see them. Asking us to read your application will decrease your chances of becoming a moderator.

We have no set date on when new moderators will be announced. New moderators will be announced after the server and map are back to normal working condition. Players we choose to become Moderators will be contacted in game. If you are not chosen for the position we are sorry, but keep looking for new openings as Minerealm grows.

As we looked through all applications we weighed pros and cons of each player that applied. We took into account how active a player is on the server, how well this player cooperates with others on the server and forums, and all information on the applications. We would like to thank everyone for applying. We had no idea so many people wanted to become mods; it was quite hard choosing only 3.

Don’t fret if you didn’t get the position this round. Minerealm is a growing community and we will be looking for more moderators in the future.
