Post any ideas / suggestions for the game servers here.

I'm not a big fan of this. It's easy enough to give someone your coords in private chat. I can also see this being abused by thieves. Since the re-coding, chest theft has been rampant. New players wouldn't even be able to hide in the corners of the map anymore. They wouldn't even know that they need to ask about how to hide.

That way, it has to report coordinates from a 200 x 200 grid, rather than a 10,000 x 10,000 one. [if this wouldn't matter in terms of the server resources required, then disregard this suggestion]
Actually, that would increase the cpu load of a tiny procedure. The server already knows the exact coords of every player. Converting those coords to the realm coords would just add more operations.

We have this. It's /msg <playername> Where are you!??
Having a specific command would be marginally easier, since it would require only a simple /yes from the recipient, rather than needing to manually look up the coords by F3 or /compass, then manually type it into the chat box. It would be an improvement, but not much of one.

Ah, I was wondering about that, but thought it would at least be worth suggesting. Thanks for the information.

This makes for a more evolved and simple version of my idea! :)

I dislike this idea and I think people should stop being so lazy. If you really need to know someones cords, and that person really wants to tell you there cords, it's easy for them to tell you already. It doesn't make sense to simplify something that is already simple.
