There have been incidents like this one, I remember one being of mystro's realm that was located in front of Foxtopia Bank had gone public. This was long before the Mountain was cleared by me and other members of Foxtopia. I bought mystro's realm after checking with a mod and they said since it was public it was fair game. I was able to keep ownership of the realm, but I had to give the items back.
There wasn't much inside the realm, but the land was later used for a hotel of mine which made me a good amount of rc. Now you might know the realm as being home of Shamp's Diner. It was sold to Shampoo after I had become bored of the realm and decided to sell it.
