I like big and tall houses! I like the other parts, but not these 2.

Cobble is cheap and easy and looks really good under the right TP's as it's been said before.

Off to go build a 50x050 to sky limit house right now.....
This.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, people. Just because you don't like a certain building style or material doesn't mean that it's bad.

In my opinion, the majority of wooden houses look ugly.

Let's ban wooden houses.

I shall continue to use large quantities of cobblestone in any and all highly visible projects as I deem fit.

Edit: Quit whining and make a texture pack. It's your problem, not anyone elses.

I hate cobblestone houses. They look horrific. That being said, if I spend 10k on a realm I'll do whatever I want on it. So I vote no.

Not that it matters. This will never be implemented.

Agreed, kinda. I don't think this should be enforced, however, it could be suggested. For instance, we could just add to the rules at the spawn something like "Please try to maintain a minimum standard of quality on your buildings". Ugly houses are certainly annoying, but we don't need to demolish them or punish those who build them. We just need to remind newbies that it is frowned upon to build small cube houses out of dirt or cobble.

Good lord peoples.

It's not an official rule, nor do I want it to be.

The entire point of The Cobble Clause is

TO GET PEOPLE THAT
RENT OUT REALMS
TO KEEP THEIR HOUSES (in that realm) NICE

It doesn't HAVE to be a rule.
I'm not telling EVERYONE to DO IT FOREVER.

Jeeezzz...

It's entire purpose, is for people that rent out spaces and houses, to tell their renters to write "Agreed" on this thread, to be able to build.

Saying they agree to not muck up their realms with massive cobble buildings.
Let's keep this simple people.

Really.

I'm not asking everyone to like it or agree with it, nor am I being demanding.
I just like nice houses, and I think this is an easy tool to use to allow Land owners to rent out their houses without fear of having their realms mucked up by some newbies who think cobble es numero uno.

It's not that cobble looks different depending on texture pack. It's that cobble should ALWAYS look ugly. The default texture pack sets a standard for how good certain blocks look in certain situations. In my opinion, you shouldn't be using a texture pack that strays too far from the default one. Yes, please refrain from building ugly cobble structures. But if you see one, understand that the builder may be using a more pleasing texture pack.

I agree with the cobble clause. I think Lutzville will be one of the first to adopt the clause.

Obviously you never gazed upon the majesty that was Awesometown. It was made purely out of cobblestone and, hell, I didn't even PLAN for it to have a design.
Look at me posting on the forums!
In conclusion, this rule is not so good. Or, insert another point excusing any Awesometown Brand Building(TM) from the rule.
