Zero Tolerance is like the cue for people to stop thinking and stop using common sense and just follow a set of rules even when it makes no sense and is clearly wrong.

Propose harsher punishments, propose stricter rules, but don't propose Zero Tolerance. Unless of course you like everything to be run absolutely by a set of bureaucratic rules that take nothing into consideration.

The thing is, you don't need to think when it comes to xray, in some cases things arise such as "nuh uh i have proof look at these screenshots" or "it was my brother playing" or something else, but even if so it can't be proven that someone wasn't using it, I know it's harsh but really. I'm always taking things into consideration but it all comes down to true or false, what needs to be proven can't be proven and the person is usually just banned anyway, the script can't prove that you were xraying but it's pretty well known that if you mine X amount in X amount of time you'll be banned,if at the least if zero tolerance can't be accepted a second offense should be a perma ban. Simply put I guess.. If you get banned for xray, you can't prove you weren't xraying, which is never really the case because people do it, never admit it, get banned/unbanned, and say "sorry it'll never happen again" They're not sorry though, they're sorry they were caught.

It should be enough to have signs at spawn plainly saying "no hacks." If a player is stupid enough to completely bypass the rules or cheat anyways knowing the rules, then they're criminals and don't belong on minerealm. It's no excuse saying "oh I didn't know." The rules say "no hacks." It's not acceptable to go ahead and do something without knowing if you can do it or not. I don't run around in a mall naked. I don't go around shouting racial slurs. And there's a good reason we can't do these things. It's unmoral. Cheating is unmoral. That's another reason they shouldn't be unbanned. You shouldn't even want to cheat even if you can't get caught.

This goes beyond a video game. People cheat everyday in real life. In school, on taxes. Cheating is never right. You don't like being at a disadvantage? Be the good guy. Snitch and do something about it.

Cheaters will cheat. If there is evidence they x-rayed, used a fly hack, duped, or in any way cheated, ban them and keep them banned.

The golden rule: One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.

They do it because a crap load of people have X-ray. It's possible on this server, most people expect no cheat, then when they see that it's possible, they go ahead and mine and mine and mine and normally get banned, if they get away with it, they get help bot banned.

IMO, they are dirty cheaters who would be mining diamonds all day if they could. It's one thing to unban someone who swore, they could change. They might be sorry. But if you mine 23 diamonds in 5 minutes, then you are a dirty cheater...

Sort of true. 2 of my friends on my private server have x-ray. They are good players, and my friends, but really, I have not tolerance for x-rayers. Really ruins the whole fun of Minecraft. "Oh no, there might be lava! How suspenseful and fun!" turns in to "Lava here, but diamonds right under it. Let's sell this for cheated money!".
Although X-ray is pretty bad, I don't support this.

btw, on the topic of cheaters, I know for a fact a lot of PVPers in the nether use radar and name enchaining hacks... Finding me incredibly quickly through multiple walls is a bit odd. And it wasn't obvious where I'd hidden either. Kind of sucks because a lot of these more known people who I think use hacks can't be ban requested, because they have half the server backing them up.

NOT point at NTC here, it was actually other people. But imo, I think Intelli needs to add anti-hack mods of his own.

There are server mods that when xray is turned on makes all the blocks underground look like they are all random ores. I don't know the name but it's a plugin I really think would stop xrayers as every single block under the surface that isn't in sight look like they are all random ores to xrayers.
