Intelli already stated that the map is permanent. That and a vast majority of players would leave the server if it were to get a new map.

Permanent map? Yes. Vast majority of players leaving? No. Every time a wipe has been mentioned, people threaten to leave permanently. They hardly ever go through with it, though.

I don't think many of you actually understood his post. Or atleast, I think this is probably the most REASONABLE and understanding of the post...

There wouldn't be a capable new map on this host, because the host isn't about 'what this file is using' the host is about 'what this account is using'. Start a new map on the same account = SAME PROBLEMS.

Hosts aren't as easy as some of you may think. They screw YOUR account and therefore EVERYTHING you want under it. New map or not - can't access it until problem is resolved.

As such, why don't we just hold our horses and see what's in store for us? Either way, staying with a host or getting a new one, I'mma help put up donations by about £10 a month or every 2 months.. thus £60 to £120 will come each year from me. So lets look at it this way - you're guaranteed to get this from me: $90 up to $180 per annum.... just for this to stay up. I'm assuming that those of you that care enough will front some money yourselves (I hope you do). Would be nice for Intelli to make the money to afford this year in year out...

On another note, why does everyone want a map wipe? Is it because some people have a lot of land and others can't be bothered to find theirs and earn credits or is it because it'd actually just be fun to see everything get wiped and have to rebuild, this including subways and stuff and TOWNS.

This is assuming I understand what you guys mean by wipe, as in - COMPLETELY fresh map right?

On another note, so many people what a map wipe because the last partial wipe broke the map. It looks like crap and I'm not a big fan of random 50x20x50 land masses in the middle of supposed oceans. Plus Minecraft was released, doesn't that sound like a good time for a wipe. Next, most of spawn city is owned by certain factions and getting any plots even remotely close is hard. Last of all, there hasn't been a map wipe for quite some time.

I think the only way there would be a map wipe is if the server company wouldn't give intelli access to the server data. I know he said there would be no intentional map wipe, but in that case it would be out of his control.

I'm feeling like this is getting totally off topic, but I'm putting my two cents in about a wipe -

I JUST got my house the way I like it, and I'm JUST starting to mine my plots, and I'd really enjoy NOT having all that hard work wiped out. Like I literally just found my first diamonds <.<
So I'm opposed to having a server wipe just because people want glowstone and a better location.
I really don't care who owns plots near what city, I like my area just the way it is. Selfish, but that's my two cents.
I threw another penny in for safe measure...
