And any thread can be legitly necroed thanks to the Bump function. If a thread has not had any posts within 2 weeks, a bump option may be implemented (though I take it you know this already).

And to add to the "no interest", there IS an interest. I cite this thread regarding the governing body and government proposals for the City of Dis. Page 8, please note the dates of the last posts.

Said thread was bumped, attention was brought that the polls had stayed at +50%, as was the arrangement at the time, and I made the decision to bump this thread both Dis related threads could be viewed side by side, as they are related to one-another.

This is your biggest problem, convincing Intelli not the other players. Intelli will not making something just because the majority of the votes are in your favor. You need more stable arguments than "it will prevent griefing", because we already have a rollback command which undoes griefing for us.

Some of your original post is outdated also, you can no longer pick up ice blocks with silk touch, and I believe there may only be one left on the whole server. It seems like you're just trying to create a server with pvp enabled everywhere. What's not to stop players from killing the shop owners and taking all their stock, since looting is legal in the nether?

I could see a city becoming more of a pvp area or "playground" for the pvpers rather than an "economy hub." Especially with the no PVP rules now in the nether.

I think he means "hub where pvp is DISCOURAGED, not disabled/prohibited".

Also, Intelli said if the votes were >50% then he would ok.

I am in for this so much that my enthusiasm probably counts as 100 votes for "yes". I started building a possible spawn structure and am hollowing out a huge 200x200 bedrock-lavaocean hole for a rough construction (to see how big it is etc.) I had said in another thread (the 8 page one) that it would have a huge 100x100 center platform, with 12 30x30 or 40x40 platforms for the factions (also stated in the thread.

There's a problem with changing around the first post though. If I edit said post, then people can start screaming "OMG VOTE TAMPERING" and we'll have to do this whole thing over again.

I know pvp is discouraged, but how would you defend it say from the band of 5 NTC pvpers in full diamond armor when they roll into town for a slaughter. Just because pvp is "discouraged" doesn't mean people won't pvp. Right now portal camping is "discouraged" and looked down upon, but it is still done everyday.

Instead of having the info in the primary post, edit your second post and put it there that way you can update information so everyone doesn't have to look through all 4 pages for relevant information.

Just to let you know Intelli doesn't always follow through with his promises, especially if they are several months old. Also where is proof of this promise? I'm fairly sure Intelli could change his mind on such a subject, at which point proof would be needed of this promise. I've seen Intelli say "I'll consider it" if it gets a majority vote, however, this does not signify that he is required to do anything.

Besides constant pvpers there is really nothing stopping you from building a city in the nether. Everything in the nether is still protected by griefing rules and violators can be banned. My suggestion to you would be try to build the city and get it running before you ask for protection from Intelli. I personally see no reason to protect the city because of rollback commands.
