So, it's been voted on that we should have a "barely vanilla" server.

So I'd like to suggest a mod to be added to this "barely vanilla" server.
Honestly, it's really only the Airplane mod.

Airplanes

Pros: Allow for quick overland travel for the overworld and a new dynamic for PvP in the Nether (along with faster travel in the Nether). Would cause people to build more (Airplane hangers, landing strips, ect.) that would be actually used as opposed to "Oh, that's nice". Would also add in more economic options, as bullets and bombs will be needed for PvP and coal will need be used for fuel. Would also make travel to the now Island nations/realms easier instead of slogging through the oceans. The gun batteries that the mod adds could also be used for Nether PvP to fortify Nether Portals or fortresses.

Cons: Possible lag issues or chunk loading issues. Should be tested first of course. Would make things less vanilla.


I'd also like to suggest the SDK gun mod for when they get it to 1.0.

I personally would be OK with this. Although, this type of thing would fall more under Option E--vanilla doesn't matter, as long as the server stays legit. Airships were specifically mentioned as a possibility for that option, which earned 23% of the votes, putting it in third place behind "barely vanilla" and "basically vanilla."

I'd honestly prefer this over some of the mods proposed by Intelli thus far (Sorry Intelli ;_; ) as this only adds things as opposed to changes thing around and forces the already semi-disgruntled players to adapt to another change.

This sir has a point. We said barely vanilla, so I think that counts as a mod here, a mod there. This is an excellent choice of mods also because it would promote exploring and building things like hangers and such. I think this should be added.

Pretty much. I can understand Intelli's desire to only use plugins that he creates and maintains himself, but that does limit our options.

Mods can't be added because it would mean that every new player would need our mods. By barely vanilla, Intelli meant less legit plugins.

Mods are different to plugins. Look it up.
