Looks like a realm that is currently under construction, the owner probably has some plans for it.
Could end up with an awesome construction that goes from bedrock to skylimit.

Perhaps it would be better to contact the owner and ask about their intentions, share ideas and be friendly rather than going for compulsory purchase, auctioning of property and depriving the owner of their property.
In any case if the owner is not on for more than 30 days the realm will be disbanded and open to being purchased/improved upon.

With a hole like that you could fill it with some quite interesting things.
Although it might be best to contact the owner to suggest putting up fencing, if worried about general safety.

Mitchie is right it has been like that for a very long time and also it is delaying a major project of minerealm.
The subway is huge asset to minerealm when the project is completed.

Okay,
first thing first, that realm hasn't changed in well over a month.
Second, i have tried contacting the owner to no avail, he seems to permanently ignore the general population
thirdly, this ream needs a fence, and it should be a requirement of all owners with deep holes to have fences round the edge.
Fourth and final, concerning the Subway, this realm is not a problem to the subway, we have gone around it, and got quite an interesting tunnel out of it! we are currently stuck up against one of Beh41's realms where Lm108 hasn't got privileges. if anyone knows this guy IRL please get him online asap

This realm seizing stuff seems like BS to me... Who really cares?

It matters because the realms around spawn are what new players will first see and will be their first impressions on MineRealm. I mean if you were to go onto a new server and you walked out of spawn to see ugly buildings would that give you a good impression of the server?

Don't judge a book by its cover. I would say the most amazing creations on Minerealm are NOT in spawn. Relative to some things most of the buildings in spawn could be considered ugly, plus if you reset this realm then you'll have to do the 10 or more other ones that are as bad as this or worse.

Spawn policies only affect the realms directly around the spawn point (So the 4 realms directly touching the spawn building)
