Sand Beast Still in Development
Updates on the much anticipated Sand Beast mob are coming in slowly as its development seems to still be in the early stages. Its intention of being a legendary, rare creature is essentially confirmed. Details on the Sand Beast's specifics are minimal, but we have gathered what we could.
As Intelli, its developer, puts it, "It flys, with a hunger for all that live." The Sand Beast will presumably have no leash range; it will follow you until it sees that you have died. A shovel and a group of able players is the best tool for fighting this monstrosity. In its current state, the Sand Beast dissipates into the appropriate amount of floating sand cubes once slain. Details on how the killing is conducted is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected that it, despite being made of otherwise collectible blocks, possesses a health bar and is slain all at once, rather than gradually losing blocks of sand as it dies.
Further development on the Sand Beast will most likely lead to a newer, more detailed model as well as more features of the creature itself. Any player who feels like trying their hand at designing the Sand Beast should do so and post a picture of their work in this Issue. Any updates on Intelli's creation can be viewed in the Developments section.
The Economy
IP Exchange Achieves Steady Growth
This period (periods consist of the time between Player's Issues) saw a healthy increase in the IP Exchange's Exchange Rating (a composite value of all exchangeable IP items). Though this means players can expect a bit more return from many IP exchanges, they can also see a steady increase in the price of these items. In general, an increase in IP value also signifies an increase in real-sale value, while a decrease in IP value shares the respective effect. An increase, in most cases, also signifies a heightened demand for that particular item.
The Exchange also saw an impressive increase in units (raw item count) moved this period.
The Economic Threshold remains somewhat low this period, as it is very young and we are only beginning to see an increase in the purchase of items via Coal, Gold, Iron, and Diamond. Eventually though, we can expect to see a market stable enough to allow for the inter-exchange between the four currencies. A complex equation is used to determine the threshold, and so we will spare you the frustration and leave you with the simple end value, which at current times is at 150. The following levels of Econ. T-Hold can help explain what the number means:
-0-175: Weak and young, can't support the inter-exchange of the four currencies.
-176-350: Growing and somewhat healthy. May be able to support small exchange between currencies.
-351-500: Healthy and well-funded. Is able to support a constant exchange between the currencies.
-501-Infinity: Incredibly healthy. Can support a vast amount of currency exchange.
Most materials saw an increase in IP value per stack. Their current value is seen as a black number directly right of the material, while the + or - number indicates its change in value since the last period.
Total Units Moved: 9 856
Units Moved This Period: 2 368 (+448)
Units Moved Last Period: 1 920
Economic Threshold (Raw Value): 150 (0)
Exchange Rating: 211 (+8)
Terranobyl is in the process of creating an official, protected complex that will allow for the quick purchase of IP, or for purchase when panthers17nfl is not available to sell it to the players. It features a multitude of vaults that players will enter, place their items to exchange for IP in a chest, and pull a lever, which will in turn release lava that protects their vault until it can be accessed, and also locks the door. For this reason, players will have to /spawn out once they are done with the transaction.
As the exchange center will most likely be situated in Terranobyl (a private realm), block breaking, bucket placement/ removal, etc will not be allowed, and so the vaults are 100% secure.
Politics
Tensions between [UMAD] and [SIA] are on the rise
[UMAD] has recently declared war against Cube Island of the [SIA]. The declaration is waiting on Pandagames07's confirmation, and it may very well fall into the Ignore action. It is expected that if this occurs, war will be declared on them once again, as Commander Lightbulbs (Novabiscuit) seems intent on seeing this war through. Updates on the war will come as they approach.
Meanwhile, the [ITF] purchases its Alliance Upgrades that make it officially recognized as an alliance. Further mobilization of this alliance has yet to be documented, and so it is expected that it is only a matter of time before they leave their dormant state.
In other news, the [OUR] continues to steadily rise in net IP value. With the recent decrease in bonuses to daily alliance gains (see the release notes), we can expect to see much slower alliance development across the board. Wars, in this instance, play an even larger role in alliance development, as they are now a more crucial method of acquiring IP.

LBG Tournaments are Few and Far in Between
The recent tournament at Cube Island stands as the latest. Terranobyl Stadium is set to be dusted off this coming Saturday or Sunday, but it isn't confirmed.
Creations
Bramblegoose Constructs Incredible Replica of the Eiffel Tower
After a few painfully long days filled with nothing but raw endurance, Bramblegoose has successfully created a 1:5 replica of the Eiffel Tower. Situated in The Wolves' Den, it soars above the skyline, boasting a well recreated top piece to complete the image. He used only a brief video for reference in creating this replica, and its creation stands as a testament to the creative capabilities of MineRealm.
If you have a creation you'd like to have covered, send a submission or a private message and we'll be sure to include you in the next Issue! See you then!
Editor's Notes: This was the very first issue of a news blog we plan to keep consistently posting as things on the server begin to change. It was relatively short this time, as there wasn't a great deal of important stories that were caught and reported on. Next Issue should expect a much more detailed issue, but I'm still happy with this one!
