(Also, I agree. Logically it's sandstone and a pickaxe should be its weakness, but when its a giant floating cube that only kills, I find it best not to question).

2. I think you should make it look like a ghost with arms on both sides of it with its stomach hollow to held people.

im pretty sure that sponges have none, or at least a very minimal effect, on dynamic water.
