Strangely enough, I've seen "dinner" used more in writing. However, I use "supper" just as often as "dinner" while speaking.

I've always called it supper. Weird, I didn't know so many people said dinner.

The trouble is I work nights at the moment so when I get up in the evening I'm confused should I call it breakfast or dinner/supper?
