I think you might have been getting the lag from the map being rendered and saved. But I got on just now without a restart and everything seemed fine.

I'm not sure how often the map is being rendered and saved, I thought it was only once a day, but the lag builds up all day long up until 3am when the server restarts and then its gone. I assume I'm not crazy, as friends of mine and people in public chat complain about it.

There currently is a decent amount of lag on the server, not as bad as last night, but it will get there.

yep, ive got the same problem. the screen says 'logging in' for about a minute before i get 'connection lost, time out'

(edit) it seems to be back already wierd, it was only gone for 5 minutes!

(edit 2) but of course... still no minerealm

(edit 3) now minecraft.net is down again :evil: this is very annoying!

When minecraft.net goes down, it crashes the server.
